3 Ways You Can Research Your Market Without Doing the Research Yourself! | Angela Giles
--
There are many ways to acquire information about your market to know which products work for which audience, what the current trends are regarding your target audience, and generally which services you should be offering when dealing with certain people in your market. The problem here is taking the time to research. It takes hours to think up of different products that might work for them, it takes even more time looking for your sources, and at times, it’s inaccurate, and you make mistakes for that.
Today, I’ll talk about three exciting ways to do your market research without personally doing the research yourself!
Do surveys.
One of the more common methods of gathering information without researching everything yourself is to do surveys.
If you’re studying a market for a particular group of people, join their groups online, find like-minded people or entrepreneurs who have access to these focus groups where you can ask your surveys.
This gives you relevant information directly from your potential customers. They’re already giving you what you want.
Interview people in a particular industry you’re studying.
What do you think is the best way to get an expert opinion about a market that you’re still about to enter? Ask the experts, of course!
It might seem daunting at first but interviewing experts in a particular field or market that you are looking to sell your products and services to is a great way to know firsthand what they’re looking for.
Many entrepreneurs and business people might be looking for specific services that they don’t have access to just because no one asked them in the first place. This happens a lot, and we don’t even take this to our advantage!
The next time you’re trying to research a new market, find someone whom you can talk to about it. It can come in the form of a podcast where you offer them a spot in your show or a blog post to promote their services. At the same time, you’re getting relevant information from them to grow your market yourself.
Look at reviews.
One great way to do market research, especially if you want to know how your competition is doing is to look at your competition reviews.
